How Do I Submit My Photos?
You may submit your photos by mail, courier, post,
which ever way is convenient to you. If you are
located in Mumbai, you may come to our office
with prior appointment. To register yourself by
personal meeting, it is much better to meet personally,
as we can assess your potential in better way.

What
Type Of Photos Should I Submit?
Your photos should depict how you look naturally.
Ideally, you will provide one of each of the following:
1.Face - close up, front view, smiling.
2.Face – close up, front view ,
not smiling.
3.Face – close up, left profile,
not smiling..
4.Face – close up, right profile,
not smiling.
5.Body – full length, straight on,
front.
6.Body – full length, straight on,
back.
* You may upload additional
style shots if you desire.
All images should be taken
by a commercial or a good photographer. This is
important. Modeling agencies work with professional
makeup artists and hairstylists. Some time, they
are specifically looking for the raw talent (some
pictures with out make up) with which they will
be working. Preferably Girls' body images should
be taken wearing short skirt/bikini or fitting
clothes to give an idea about her figure. Boys'
body images should be taken wearing boxers. Both
should use the Indian and Western outfits with
different looks, backdrops, locations and expressions.
Please take a moment to
be certain that your images are clear, well lit,
and in focus.

Do
I Need Professional Photos?
Yes, you should have a good quality of the portfolio,
as the portfolio is going to represent you in
front of the clients; first and foremost a model
is short listed for meetings and auditions through

What Size Of Photos Should I Send?
We accept all sizes of photos. If you are mailing
your photos they can be snapshot size of 3 x 5 all
the way up to 9 x 12. Any size of mailed photo is
fine.
If you are
emailing your photos please be sure that your photos
are not too big. Please be sure that emailed photos
are not larger than 300 x 400 pixels.

I
Don't Live in Mumbai; Can I Still Register?
Absolutely! We work with aspiring models from
all Indian cities as well from other countries.
We regularly place models, who are located out
of Mumbai. If you are focused to the glamour industry
of Mumbai. And it is not easy access to visit
to Mumbai for all auditions and meetings. The
best solution in this situation is to make your
show reel (VCD/DVD), apart from your portfolio,
the show reel should depict your looks, acting,
dancing skills, voice, different get up etc.,

I Just Send My Photos To The Agencies Myself?
Yes, why not!.
If you are looking seriously to make your full
time career in to modeling and acting world, you
have to put your best efforts to market yourself
with all possible sources, Marketing yourself
is very important. Obviously, it is not advisable
to sign up exclusively with one agency, which
would lend you to restrict your exposure
and PR with through one platform. Appointing
exclusive agency is only feasible in European
and some other countries, not in India.

promote your self through the other agencies,
submitting your portfolio to International and
Indian advertising agencies, production houses,

Why Is There A Fee To Submit My Photos
We
have worked out bare minimum fee to register with
us. the fee helps to cover the costs
of operating our website such as web designers,
hosting, advertising, office staff, etc. This
fee is much less than you would pay for making
copies of all your photos and mailing them to
all of the agencies and is much less than many
online scouting services who charge hefty amount
per year, just to upload your pictures on their
website to attract more viewers, their casting
jobs are extremely rare.

Can I make Payment for Registration?
While sending/mailing your pictures you have below
options for payment:
1. You can email your pictures and can make online
payment by credit card. We accept all the major
American Express, Citibank E-Cards: Diners Club
International, MasterCard and Visa.
2. If you don’t have credit card, you can
make payment by Cheque/Demand draft in favour
of ‘Benckmark ModelsCommunications’
payable at Mumbai and courier at the below address
with your pictures and bio data.
3. If you are located out of Mumbai, you may directly
deposit cheque in our citi bank current account
and can email your pictures and bio data with

If you are contacted by a scout or an agent from
Benchmark Models it will ONLY be because
you submitted your photos and registered with
us. We NEVER send unsolicited emails nor
do we approach people on the street or visit modeling
forums in an effort to have you submit photos.
We will never engage in conversations with you
through ICQ, Yahoo Messenger or MSN Messenger
or Web Cams. When we contact you it will only

we never use email addresses
from Yahoo, Rediff, India times, Hotmail or AOL.
Your privacy
and safety is extremely important to us. If you

Do
You Guarantee That I will Be Offered a Modeling
Contract?
Benckmark Models
will provide you with exposure in our website
and portal and invited agencies and all existing
clients and will do the coordination for you as
an agent for those modeling inquires, which suits
to your profile and talent. Ultimately your looks
and performance will make the client to select
you for their assignment.
BEWARE
from those agencies, coordinators who guarantee
for assignments, by showing you false dreams with
intention to take money from you or some other
advantage, specially located in cities like Mumbai,
Delhi, Gaziabad, Bhopal, Kanpur and other towns,
with out a proper professional set up, experience.
As most of them are indulge into personal
parties and dating services.
Benchmark Models doesn't guarantee that you will be offered
a contract. Contracts are offered at the discretion
of each agency based on how much potential they
feel you possess.

Can
I still become a model if I am in School/College, Have
Spare Time During Vacations and Holidays.
Reputable agencies will always make school a priority.
There are two reasons for this:
A) Most
aspiring models are of school age and agencies
are accustomed to working around your school schedule,
especially teen age and kids modeling. Shoots
are normally fixed up on public holidays/ Saturday
and Sundays.
B) A model’s
career, no matter how successful is extremely
short and unpredictable, making it more important
to have a solid educational base from which to
draw on once the modeling career is over.

How
do I get modeling assignments? And Your Commission?
Once you have made a portfolio
and registered with you will be entitled to get
calls of those inquires which suits to your profile,
availability and performance skills. How it works,
please note:
1.
First of the client use to give us the brief by
phone calls, emails about the assignments, budget,
age group and characteristic of the models and
ask us to suggested the pictures and names of
the models, so we shortlist the models first and
suggest to the clients. Thereafter the client
revert with short listed models for meeting or
a audition.
2. If any client is new, we check out their
creditability in the market before we take up
casting job for them.
3. Any of casting requirement which your
profile suits to your profile, our casting team
will suggest your name, bio data and pictures
to the client. If you are short listed by the
client, we will inform you the clients address,
contact details to go and meet with them.
4. At the other end, some clients send
us the brief of the assignment and ask us to send
directly the models for audition and meetings.
5. After audition or meeting if you are
selected for the assignment, we will negotiate
the final fee, shoot date, location and will inform
to the model to report at the time of shoot. Our
representative is always at the time of auditions
and possibly at the time of shoot.
6. Once the shoot has taken place, the
client will make the payment as per mutual condition
between us. And the models payment will be made
with 3- 4 days from the date we receive the modeling
fee from the client after deducting our commission
of 20% from the gross modeling fee.
7. Some time the clients wish to make payment
by cheque/cash to the models, in that case we
trust on our models as they will make the payment
of our 20% commission to us, once the given cheque
is credited in their account.
8. In case of any legal aspect, or making
any exclusive contract between models and advertisers,
we will shoulder the responsibility for mutual
convenience and interest.
9. In case of any outstation shoot, we
settle down everything clear with the client about
travel, stay and safety aspect for you.

What to do, if assignment is rejected after the
shoot?
Some time the models are chosen by their pictures,
not by a personal meeting or audition, especially
for press and still shot. By the way, on the spot
of the shoot, the client doesn’t find the
models as per his/her pictures, you will be dropped
for that assignments and the client will not make
any payment in this case. So always keep your
updated pictures in your portfolio. If any noticeable
changes have come up in your appearance like skin
appearance, age, hair cut, weight any other change,
you should be prompt and honest to inform to the
agency.
Very rarely,
but it happens some time, the shoot had been done
and you have given your 100% for the assignments.
Unfortunately, due to some technical issue or
any other reason the whole assignments is wasted
due to whatsoever reason and will be scrapped
( not will be used for any commercial/professional
purpose). The client is liable to pay 50% of the
fixed assignment fee to the models as he/she had
given the required time, efforts and their performance.
